About
Nauka Publishers is Russia’s oldest academic publishing house, tracing its roots back to 1727, when the Academic Printing House was established by Decree of the Supreme Privy Council. For three centuries, the publisher’s work has never ceased for a single day. While its name has evolved over time — from the Academic Printing House to the Publishing House of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and finally to Nauka — the continuity of its academic mission has remained steadfast.

Today, Nauka stands as one of the largest scientific publishers in the country, releasing thousands of books and scholarly journals in both Russian and English every year. Behind these numbers lies a commitment the organization has upheld for three hundred years: to serve as a hub for the dissemination of knowledge, to ensure the accessibility of academic literature, and to preserve the legacy of the Russian scientific tradition
